Where does the phrase Barn Door Halibut come from?

Alaska is known for its amazing fishery and fishing tales. Every summer guests land whopper's and some are what we call "Barn Door's". These fish tend to be the breeders so if the guest is willing, we try to release these fish back into the population to keep the fishery healthy.
